ESTIMATOR
Knowledge of the construction industry, structural steelwork and the ability to read engineers drawings are essential. Since most of our work is bespoke we are required to produce quotations before we manufacture. The position will require price negotiation with suppliers and liaising with our purchasing administrator throughout the process of a customer order. We use SAGE with bespoke bolt on software through Outlook which automates some of the systems allowing all office staff the ability to monitor the stage of all enquiries through to completion of works.
The estimator will ultimately be responsible for the production of risk assessments, method statements and site information sheets. Site visits will be required, so good communication skills with customers and other contractors are necessary
SITE FITTER/FABRICATIOR/WELDER
We are looking for more experienced welder/fabricators who understand site fitting to join our busy engineering firm, The successful applicant will be required to have past experience within the structural steel industry as well as having the ability to read drawings and think through the job.
A good standard of Mig and Tig welding is required, working to deadlines and within a team environment. As a well established CE compliant metalworking company in Somerset we can offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate metalworker. No two days are the same as most of our work is made to order. Good communication skills are essential.
Pipe welders need not apply unless they have the fabricating experience.
